Parker Wins First Howe CRA
Sportsman Race
Winchester, IN (October 12, 2008)
For the second race in a row a first
time series competitor came away with
the victory as West Liberty, Ohio driver Mark Parker took full
advantage of his outside pole starting position to lead all 50 laps to
get the victory. Justin Alsip was putting the pressure on Parker for
the lead on lap 35 when he lost control coming out of turn four and
spun to the middle of the track were Rick Rinehart could not avoid
him. The two made hard contact ending the night for both drivers, but
they were both able to walk away. It was the first DNF of the season for Rinehart.
"This is my first time racing at this
track, and the car handled amazingly," remarked Parker. "This is
amazing, it took until the end of last nights 25 lap race before I
figured out the track and today was great."

Victory
Ft. Wayne, IN (September
7, 2008) –
In one of the best races
of the season for the Howe
CRA Sportsman Series,
local racer Chad
Richardson made a daring
last
lap
pass under Jesse Opliger
going into turn one after
taking the white flag to
pull away and get the
victory Saturday night in
the Hoosier 200 event
Presented By NAPA Auto
Parts Stores at Baer Field
Speedway, it was his third
over all win with the
series and his second in
2008.
"I hated to get Jesse on
the last lap like that,"
stated Richardson in
victory lane. "But he left
the bottom open after we
passed the lap car going
into turn one and I just
stuck it in there. We made
a little contact, I
normally don’t race like
that, but it was the last
lap and I was going for
the victory, I hope he
doesn’t hold it against
me!"
