Vore’s Welding & Steel Agrees To Continue Title Sponsorship Of The CRA F.W.D. Compacts For 2009

Salem, IN (November 18, 2008) – Champion Racing Association officials are pleased to announce that Vore’s Welding & Steel has agreed to continue their title sponsorship of the CRA F.W.D. Compacts for the 2009 season, it will be the third season in a row that Vore’s Welding & Steel has been the title sponsor.

"We greatly appreciate Steve Vore’s support of the CRA F.W.D. Compacts," remarked Glenn Luckett with Champion Racing Association. "Steve not only supports the series as a sponsor, but brought numerous cars to the track with the Vore’s Racing Team to compete at each event. With his support we hope to continue the growth of this series in 2009!"

Rex Zimmerman will be officially crowned the 2008 Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA F.W.D. Compacts Champion on Saturday, January 10th at the Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Anderson, Indiana the rest of the top ten in 2008 points will also be honored at the 2008 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet. Vore’s Welding & Steel was the sponsor of the #58 Acura that was driven by Brian Redmond to second place in points in 2008. Bill Charles, Zimmerman’s teammate, finished third in points, Tim Dilg was fourth, Michael Myers was fifth, Bobby Sanders was seventh, Steve Vore finished in seventh, Aaron Teagarden finished in eighth in a Vore’s Racing Team car, Justin Kelly was ninth with Richard Isbell in tenth. In all a record 56 different drivers competed with the series in 2008.

Champion Racing Association officials are currently working on the 2009 Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA F.W.D. Compacts schedule and series rules and will have that information available in the near future. Updates will be posted on the CRA web site at www.craracing.net.
