Rick's
first stock car race was at Winchester Speedway in the ASA in 1979, but
then he advanced through the levels of street stocks, sportsman and late

This driver is one of the original stars
of the CRA Series who has been one of its biggest supporters. Well it
all finally paid off in 2005. He is no longer the driver with the most
career starts without a victory, thanks to his popular win at Anderson
Speedway. He’s been at the forefront of developing the low cost
alternative engine option, and his R&D work on the new Ford at the
beginning of the year took its toll. But he never wavered and never gave
up and was rewarded with another top 10 finish in the final point
standings. During the season he posted three Top Five qualifying
efforts, one Win and six Top Ten finishes. Taking 10th Place Honors in 2005.
2006 was a tough year for Turner as hard
crashes he was collected in forced him to sit out several races while he
repaired his car. Then in 2007, Turner started had his best season
to that point finishing fourth while missing only one race during the
entire season. 2008 has been Turner's best year with the CRA Super
Series, he had his best year as measured in victories, with two, four
poles, seven Top Five finishes and 10 Top Ten to finish second in the
point chase less than 150 points from first.
